Final Film

Rough Cut - Evidence

As i am trying to upload the final rough cut to you tube for my group, i have come across a problem the sound has disappeared from the film completely. As we have the film saved in several places this is not a problem however to make sure that we do not miss out on any feedback i have still created a survey for the public to fill out and feedback on. As a group we are trying to fix the sound problem and get it up and running so we can receiver feedback on the sound as well as the titles and footage. I have also asked a few friends and family members to watch the film and tell me what they think so that i have some veiws of other people.

Feel free to look at out final edit and give us feedback, http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DV7FT53

My Imput Towards Sound - Evidence

Sadly as Danny, who was incharge of sound, had to leave for work at 3 on the deadline day therefore myslef and grace took over the last of the sound work and tweeked the finishing details. firstly i had to make sure that the music built tension in the correct places which in some cases it didnt therefore i had to fix by looping and adding more sounds.I had to arrange the levels of sound to make sure the volume was correct in the diffferent scenes, for example i had to lower the volume of the sound of the music in order to be able to hear the voices of the actors.
Helping out with the sound was interesting and i am glad in a way that i had to step in and help with the sound as i like the fact i was involed with more aspects of the process. Here are some screenshot images that i took whilst i was comoketeing the sound;

In this image i was playing with the sound track in order to make the last scene more dramatic and tense. Now our final film is complete i hope all our hard work has paid off and you enjoy the opening to our thriller film!

My Contribution In The Group - Titles

These are 4 different screen captures that i took whilst editing the titles on to the final edit. I took the captures when i was at different stages, this was my contribution during this particular stage of the process. i enjoyed puting th titles on to the clips, although it wad challenging and frustrating at times i leanrt a lot and over all i think the titles look creative and interesting.
Although we all had out individual sections to take care of we stuck together as a group and helped each other out and made decisions together as a team.

Editing The Titles - Practice

These are two different screen captures that i have taken of the work i completed in class today. After evaluating our video as a group we decided who was doing what and i was allocated the role of the titles, firstly i sat with Grace and spoke about what scenes she was going to cut out of the editing, once i had this information i then went away and reminded myself of how to add titles. After watching a quick tutorial and playing around on final cut i started to add the titles to my own edit, i used the rotation tool and opacity tool to ensure that the titles were apart of the clips not just stuck on top. This task will help me add the titles efficiently to the final edit once Grace had completed he editing.

Individual Edit

This is a screen shot of me editing my own individual edit, in order to help me develop my skills on final cut, i stepped away from my group to see what i could create on my own. I am please with my edit, although it does not have the final sound or titles in it yet, i have colour graded it, cut shots, controlled the pace and changed it to create suspense, cut shots together in order to create match on actions and shot reverse shot and most importantly i made sure the shots were all correct and followed continuity. Below is my final edit;
